Behaviour

This is a great email from Paul Lowe to his list today.

I have often been asked about behaviour. Although they don’t realise it, most people, for almost all of the time, behaviour is all they use. They do not know they are operating through behavioural patterns. They think the way they act/speak/think is who they are. They do not realise that behaviour is just an operating system – to avoid who they really are in the moment.

It is not easy to talk to behaviour – about behaviour.

I have also often been asked how it is that so very few people are ‘free’ – especially as there have been people who have attempted to share about it down through the ages. As indicated, it is not easy to assist anyone to see they are not free, if they are not free to realise they are not free. When you talk to someone, you are not actually talking to someone – your behaviour is talking to their behaviour. Your story of who you think you are, to their story of who they think they are.

As it is so rare that anyone goes beyond their behaviour it could be thought that it is not possible. Not so. It is possible. If you really, really make it your every moment priority – it has happened already.

When someone is really, really asleep it is very difficult to ‘get through’ to them. They are unaware that they are unaware. They do not realise that there is something different from the way they live/speak/think.

When someone starts to awaken then there is more a of a chance. People start to become more available after a very serious situation – near death experience – of themselves, or someone dear. Talk to someone who has survived a plane crash, or cancer.

And still, the one attempting to share is sharing with the automatic part of the person. That is why

meditation was often suggested – to sit and see if something else can be contacted. Many of the techniques we have inherited and developed are to help us to see what we are not seeing. The Satori Group is the fastest way I know of.

In the groups I often used to say: “No one here is ready to listen to what they need to hear.” Of course there were denials: “Try me.”

And here is the crux. Why are we not seeing? Because we do not want to. We do not want to experience the moment/ourselves – just as it/we is/are. All that crying, emoting, catharting -and even the over-the-top celebration – just another escape. The ’solution’ is very simple. Very. You have heard it all before: Be Here Now. This Is It. Unconditional Awareness. Take no thought of tomorrow…. Now! These are not empty words – they are as close as we can get to describing the indescribable.

We rented a beautiful large villa on the shore of Lago Magiori in Southern Italy. After two years of having an open situation we closed to anyone not living in the villa. Sixty-six people for six months – to come into every moment unconditional awareness. We often meditated several times a day. We had gongs, bells, cymbals, didgeridoo, toning, visits from what seemed to be ET’s – and still – the lights were left on. Doors left open. People not present when eating – or most other times.

Jesus is quoted as saying: said: “My way is narrow.” True. The thin line of the moment. Very simple, and not so easy – to give the moment unconditional priority. All that is needed is every moment unconditional awareness. Every single moment. What are you doing? What are you saying? What are you thinking – every moment.

Of course there is lots more to this – but it all leads to the same – be here now. If you want more I am sure Mia has some CD’s on which I talk more on the subject. But please remember, it is not about understanding it, it is about devoting every moment of your life to being in the moment, every moment.

And not taking it seriously…
