Hello my loves,
I am not the body.
I am not the body.
And yet I AM
So what is the body?
An illusion? An annoyance?
A vehicle for pleasure? A vehicle for pain?
The fragile vessel for a life lived?
As I lay in the emergency room, my heart rate dipping into the low 30′s, I was not afraid to die…
I did however have plans and desires.
I wanted to see my daughter and granddaughter, due to arrive in two days.
I wanted to know how my wife, Jaki’s new book was going to do.
I wanted to have a few more great meals.
I wanted to make love some more.
I wanted to scuba dive again.
This body was born into an age of technological wizardry.
The healers came and laid on their skilled hands.
A device was inserted and connected to my heart.
I was resurrected.
My heart beats strong and steady.
Every day of life is a miracle
In which the Oneness moves as the many.
I am not the body
And yet I AM.
With much love,
Wayne

Frank Gerbode, an original thinker and the founder of the Metapsychology school – look him up on Google – teaches that my personhood, my self, is the me who can influence my environment. This leads to the inevitable conclusion that as I am able to influence my mind, my mind is in my environment.
When I first learned of this I found it very challenging and not easy to accept. However, having heard Frank and others who study metapsychology speak on this subject, and after deep thought and with my preparedness to challenge the orthodox, I have come to accept that Frank is right on this.
Following on from this is the acceptance that my personhood is perfect, and can not be improved or diminished, can not be changed. I can, of course change my behaviour, learn new skills, give up past behaviour that no longer meet my needs.
It also follows that I am not my body, it is just a vehicle that I use during my life
YES!
